What’s up lately… April 28, 2011

My gosh it has been forever since I posted anything on this… but I thought I might pass some useful information on to others who are now in the unfortunate situation I found myself in previously.

• First of all, don’t ever blame yourself… and don’t listen to the cheater when they blame you.
• This can happen to anyone!  I recently became aquainted with a woman who is a partner at firm.  She is a beautiful lady.  Thin, blonde, smart as a whip, and she’s a Partner (so she makes serious bank!)  She was married to a soldier for 20 years and they have several kids together. Guess who decided while on depolyment that he didn’t want to be married any more?  Yep. Stupid Man.
•  You will feel better (eventually) if you know the truth.  Finding out the particulars about the infidelity sucks, I’m not going to try and gloss that over.  But at some point you WILL feel better knowing exatly what was going on.  I certianly have no doubt now, that what I did was the best thing I could have ever done.  You won’t want to look back and wonder if you accused them of something wrongly.
• There are tools and people out there that are willing to help you.  Just asking a friend to brainstorm with you can help.  I had a friend of my ex’s that offered to search public records for me.   Another helped me sell his boat when he cut me off financially.  You will be surprised how many people will understand that what they are doing is wrong.
• Don’t feel shame about their dirty deed.  If they didn’t want anyone to know about the cheating, they shouldn’t have done it in the first place.   When dealing with family and friends, I know alot of times we are tempted to keep things to ourselves.  We don’t want them to hold a grudge or look at our partner diffrently, but there comes a point where  they ahve to attest for what they have done.  I personally don’t believe in just shouting it from the rooftops, but if someone asked me point blank what was going on, I would tell them the truth.

I honestly believe this guy has been playing you from day one; just things didn’t sit right with me.
bestharvickfan (7:22:01 PM):	don’t know how divorces are in Texas but in Georgia when my lawyer sent me my divorce papers to go over the other day there was a section in them that was a legal separation for her to sign so I can do what I want as well as her; kind of being single again and not to bother each other until the judge finalizes everything. I’m pretty sure it’s like that everywhere. And if this guy is actually getting a divorce and had been in the works for sometime his wife knew it was coming so why would it all of a sudden get ugly if they’ve been living together during the process? Or am I missing something?

If he’s like that over the phone because of them how is he going to be with them in person? We both know Ty and Zach aren’t perfect little angels, they are exploring boys that will tend to pull the last string. He’s totally wrong for them because he does have a temper or bipolar ism or whatever bull he’s come up with.

IF he said that you are selfish and needy that states how he truly feels and hasn’t taken the time to get to know the real you. What I’d have said after he said that he won’t talk to you or call you until after the divorce is final was … ok, I’ll talk to you then. When he finally calls to say it’s final or whatever I’d say sorry, I’ve moved on and you’re outta here, give that temper to someone else. We both know that long distance relationships are extremely hard and require a give and take from both involved. To me it seems like he’s doing all the taking and you’re doing all the giving.
bestharvickfan (7:22:55 PM):	Sue and I have been pretty much together since last September, friends since July and I believe she’s giving me just as much as I think I’m giving her. During the day she gives me as much of her time as she possibly can, even pushes it to the limits some nights. Not to make waves at home she leaves here about 6 or 7 which is extremely hard but I know she has a plan that she needs to do to get away without him knowing too much like saving some money, paying some bills and getting her youngest son through graduation. So she’ll probably be there for another 6 months to a year, I’m hoping less but I’m not going to push her into doing things she’s not ready for.

But I’m not going to blow up on her and put her through more stress than she’s already under. I don’t know Lynn but I honestly believe you need to tell him goodbye once and for all, don’t listen to his pathetic please that he’ll change cause from what you’ve told me in this that’s his true personality coming out and his real beliefs in how he feels about you.

What is a Mis…. April 6, 2008

It came to my attention that someone needed another lesson in the English language. So the definition of Mistake follows. This person has recently posted as a main pic on his Myspace the following photo….

Now, if the act of marrying were the problem or you married someone that was say, a bitch or lets say a serial cheater… well then yeah, I can understand the pic. Actually I think I have every right to use the damn thing myself. But marriage itself wasn’t the problem, it was the dick head I married that was the problem. Marriage is a beautiful paring of two lives. But those two people, both of them, have to make a commitment that they are going to stick it out, through thick and thin, for better or for worse. And they also have to make a commitment to honor the vows that they took. To put their relationship above all other things including their own selfish needs of the flesh. When one of those two does not live up to their end of the bargin, well, things just don’t always work. The other person can try and hold things together but it only works for so long. Eventually, when one gives up, the other will eventually have to throw in the towel as well. Sad as it is. I don’t blame most people. Some just aren’t meant to be married. Some are to selfish or self centered. And it would help the rest of us out if those people would just stick to themselves… but that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. I believe for the most part we are all good. People do bad things, it’s in our nature to do so. But we all have the free will to make that choice. What pisses me off is when they blame their choice on their circumstances. Not every person that is poor steals… not every person that is homeless begs for money… so don’t come to me and say “What did you expect me to do?” I expected you to have some honor and some decency, to live the life of a man with a pair, to do what was right, just because it’s F**ing right. The only mistake made in this relationship was me mistakenly believing you were a REAL man, that you gave a shit about anyone other than yourself, that you could be faithful for once in your life. Boy was I wrong!

Surgery 3…. April 5, 2008

So this was not my favorite day. I wasn’t looking forward to being under the knife again anyway, but you do what you must. I was at Candler in the Pre-op room with my neighbor Nina. We had been there most of the morning, it was getting close to 1 pm and they had just come back a few minutes before to give me the happy drugs they give you right before you go to surgery. Nina’s phone rang, her husband was calling. I figured it was just to check and see how much longer she would be, since he was home alone with the baby. Oh was I so wrong. The conversation went something like this…. Nina, “Hey, they are gonna take her back in a few minutes.” Sean, “Guess who’s back?” Nina, “That’s not funny! You don’t joke about things like that!” Sean, “I’m not joking… (hands the phone to my husband) Nina, (Hangs up). Then she tells me, “Kevin’s home… No I’m not kidding. He is home, for real”. I’m in a panic. My mind is racing….. What the hell is he doing back from Iraq now. He’s not supposed to be home until the beginning of April. He’s 4 weeks early. I’ve been working full time, studying for finals, and making trips to Savannah for the last 2 weeks, the house is a train wreck. Oh crap. I have $1200 sitting on top of my dresser. He is going to take it. I just knew he would take it… He cut me off completely.. why would he not take anything he could get his paws on?  My neighbor called while I was in recovery.  Brady was on the porch.  Apparently he and his father were in the house and left him outside.  Adam said he was crying and whining.  When I got home I realized his Dad was there… No one had told me that up to this point.   So I went over to say Hi, his Dad is looking at me like I just gave him the bird or something.  Figures.  Ok, whatever, he’s your kid,  And one day he will turn on you again, just like he did the first time.  Enjoy.  So I head to the house to get his keys, thats apparently what he’s been waiting for.  There’s a broken picture frame on the table.  One of our wedding pictures.  And the couch cover is no where to be found.  So I get the keys, he has followed me in the house.  He’s yelling at me about selling the boat.  His Dad is yelling at me about ” You told me you wouldn’t touch the boat”  Which is complete BS… I told EVERYONE that would be the first thing I would try and sell, cause it was worth the most, and easier to get rid of.  Kevin is mumbling things at me under his breath.  (What a chicken shit)  So I kept asking him, ” What did you say?”  He told me I better get a lawyer.  I realize my paycheck and the check from AER (Army Emergency Relief) for the loan to get the tires are both gone.  So I do some looking around.  He’s got them.  I know he does.  He says he doesn’t want me to have the AER loan, that he offered to send me money.  Yeah, and I told you to send it… the half that you offered, and you never did.  Not my fault.  So I got a loan.  Things are thrown all over the house, I finally find the couch cover in the trash.  Or what he thought was trash, it was a bag of recycle plastics.  There’s glass all in it.  So he is packing some more of his clothes saying things to me under his breath, I’m talking back to him…. his Dad tells me to shut up.   I need to remind you that I’m still hopped up on the Anesthesia from my surgery.  So I’m not in my complete right mind.  I don’t usually lash out verbally, but when his Dad told me to shut up I lost it… I told him it was my house and he needed to shut up… then he said it wasn’t my house…. oh boy, Lets just say it wasn’t my finest hour.  I vaguely remember yelling at the top of my lungs and pointing at the door… something about get out of my (insert F-bomb here) house now or I’ll call the MP’s….  needless to say… he didn’t leave.  His reasoning was that he was staying to make sure I didn’t try and tell the cops that Kevin hit me.  Okey dokey.  Never would have thought of that one…. But ya know…  evil knows evil.  So, he finishes up the packing and they leave.  My blood pressure got so high at one point, I really thought my head was going to pop off.  But they are gone now… no word on if or when they will be back.  Please, take as long at you like… I’m happier when your away these days.

So today I did a little more checking. I don’t think its a coincidence that his Mom, both his brothers and Ms. Tracy are all no longer on my friends list. He must be trying to circle the wagons. I also checked to see if Sue’s page was still private… well I was surprised to find her status reads…. “Sue has nothing to hide, bring it on” And she has changed her Kevin Harvick page layout to a spider. I’m sure that is just for my benefit. Kevin knows I don’t like spiders. How juvenile. I feel like I’m in high school again. Why on earth would he think I care what his girlfriend thinks. I do wonder if Tammy told him about our conversation. Doesn’t really matter. I haven’t done anything I’m ashamed of. He’s gonna bitch about this blog for sure. But this is my way of getting things off my chest, my journal, and personal thoughts. This helps me keep everything straight in my head.  It’s not like he’s not telling all his girlfriends all about me.  Well at least the one, Sue.  She is apparently keeping up with me.
